In this simple beyond the book activity inspired by Odd Science: Spectacular Space, you can create your own astronaut helmet out of a paper plate!
To make your astronaut helmet, you’ll need:
- Paper plate
- Aluminum foil
- Glue stick (optional)
- Stickers or other things to decorate helmet (optional)
- Draw a curved line across the paper plate and use scissors to cut along the line and around to make the opening for the helmet. You might need a grown up's help for this.
- Take aluminium foil and wrap around the helmet until covered. You can also use glue to keep it on, but we found we didn't need to do this.
- Decorate with stickers, glitter etc if you'd like!
